We Stand Alone as a Band of Brothers
Yesterday night, meet up with my old high school mate "Keet Seong" for dinner and for chats in Chow Yang aka Mee Yoke Lim in SS2 and then headed down to William's for drink. Reason being, besides talking about football, movies and mangas, went to take the DVD boxset of "Band of Brothers" for me to rewatch.
I remember last time after my SPM or STPM, damn! I can't remember. He lend it to me to watch. Was indeed a kick ass miniseries.
So what happen was i had the urge of rewatching the miniseries once again and the first person that came to my mind was my dude Keet Seong! XD
Band of Brothers is a war miniseries base on a book written by historian and biographer Stephen Ambrose with Executive producer by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks working on the title too.
The series captures the experiences of E Company "Easy Company" of the 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment assigned to the 101st Airborne Division. In short they were the frontliners of Paratroopers. I have to note the fact that Damian Lewis who played as Major Richard Winters really did acted the role superbly.
The miniseries originally ran in 2001 but it is still being aired till now on rerun on HBO. Apparently, Spielberg is producing a sequel miniseries called "The Pacific" that will premiere somewhere in March 2010. So fans of warseries and Band of Brothers, don't forget to keep a watch for it.
For those who plan to buy the series, do buy original! Aite!? Don't support the piracy trade, cause i rather suggest you to download yourself. XD
